Terms of sale and use
A clear agreement for your digital purchase and use of our learning materials.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Your contract is with Uplift House Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Office Politics. Email: hello@theofficepolitics.com. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17250503. Registered office: 405 Kings Road, London SW10 0BB. See our company information page.
2. Scope and agreement
These terms apply to our website, the Office Politics Playbook, downloadable documents, audio and other digital educational content. By purchasing you agree to these terms, subject always to mandatory consumer protection law. Our website pages and product description at the time of purchase form part of the pre-contract information.
3. Digital product, price and supply
The Playbook is a one-off digital purchase, priced at £29, with no recurring subscription. The checkout displays the final applicable price and any tax before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe on behalf of Uplift House Limited. After Stripe confirms successful payment, a signed access link for the interactive Playbook is sent to the checkout email address. A full printable edition can be saved as PDF from that private page. The precise included materials and format are those stated on the product page at purchase. You are responsible for entering an accurate email address and maintaining compatible software and an internet connection. Please download and retain copies; we do not promise perpetual hosting or indefinite repeat download access, unless expressly stated at purchase.
4. Digital delivery and cancellation
For this Playbook launch, we honour consumers’ applicable 14-day cancellation rights and do not rely on waiver of that right merely because the content is supplied immediately. To request cancellation within 14 days of purchase, email hello@weareuplift.club with your checkout email and order reference. Your other statutory rights remain unaffected, including remedies for content that is faulty, not as described, or not supplied. Following a valid refund, access may be revoked.
5. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose made known as required by law, and as described. Where applicable, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Please contact us if content is defective, inaccessible or materially not as described.
6. Personal licence and intellectual property
On payment, we grant the individual purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, store and use the purchased materials for their own personal learning and workplace communications. You may adapt template language for your own correspondence. Unless we expressly agree in writing, you must not resell, sublicense, publish, upload to shared repositories, distribute copies, or reproduce substantial parts of the product for others. All copyright, trade marks, layout and original content remain ours or our licensors'. A purchase transfers access rights only, not ownership of intellectual property.
7. Acceptable use and enforcement
You must not use the website or materials unlawfully, to harass, discriminate, defame, deceive or infringe others' rights; bypass delivery security; or commercially scrape, redistribute or exploit content. We may take proportionate steps to prevent misuse, including disabling compromised access links where lawful, without limiting statutory rights arising from a paid purchase.
8. Educational information and employment matters
Our material is general educational commentary and examples. It is not legal advice, regulated professional advice, HR representation, therapy, or a substitute for your employer's rules and individual advice. Workplace policies, contracts, law and facts vary. Apply your judgement and seek qualified advice where needed, especially for grievances, discrimination, disciplinary proceedings, whistleblowing or employment litigation. We do not guarantee promotion, job retention, workplace outcomes or resolution of disputes.
9. Availability, changes and errors
We take reasonable care to keep the website and downloads available and accurate. We may update the website or future product versions, subject to applicable obligations concerning digital content and any paid contractual commitment. We are not responsible for outages outside our reasonable control, but this does not remove remedies arising under applicable law. If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will offer the appropriate remedy or refund.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. We remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, to the extent required by law. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made or for losses arising from a customer's independent decisions where we are not legally at fault. Our products are offered primarily to individual consumers for personal use; business losses are not covered where lawful, but consumer statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Complaints and disputes
Contact hello@theofficepolitics.com with your order email, purchase date and a description of your concern. We will assess it fairly and respond within a reasonable period. Nothing prevents you from using statutory remedies or court processes.
12. Governing law and courts
These terms and any non-contractual disputes are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer habitually resident elsewhere in the UK or another jurisdiction, you retain any mandatory protections and court rights that applicable law affords you. No clause is intended to override those rights.
13. Other provisions
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue where lawful. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. No third party acquires rights under these terms unless mandatory law provides otherwise. The version in force when you purchase normally governs your purchase; changes are not retroactively imposed on completed orders without a lawful basis.
